The perfect butt doesn’t exist. Or does it?
If you’ve been trying to exercise and diet your way to the ideal butt shape for your body, you may have found frustration along the way. Many men and women have.
That’s because it’s far easier to shape your core and arms through diet and exercise, than it is to shape your bottom. While some lifestyle changes can affect the way your butt and thighs look, it’s difficult to truly achieve that perfect buttocks without additional intervention.
For many years, the only way to accentuate the buttocks through plastic surgery was with butt implants or a butt lift. Today, we have a third option: the Brazilian butt lift — also known as a BBL.
What Is a BBL?
A BBL is a plastic surgery that involves taking fat from somewhere on your body where you’d like to slim down and transferring that fat to the buttocks area. In effect, this utilizes your body’s own fat and simply relocates it to a place where you’d like to increase volume — the butt.
Want to learn more? Here are five ways a Brazilian butt lift can help you achieve your perfect silhouette.
Why BBLs Are the Key to a Perfect Butt
1. BBLs don’t use implants.
Whenever implants are used in the body, there is a risk of rejection. Likewise, implants can become misaligned or undesirably rotated over time. They can even rupture and cause additional problems. Finally, implants often look unnatural because they must be used in one large piece and can’t be artistically dispersed like natural fat that is injected can.
2. You can add volume exactly where you want it.
Getting the perfect butt is an artistic process. As with many plastic surgeries, your surgeon needs to be both a medical professional and scientist and a keen artist with an eye for detail.
If you take a look at the body of any celebrity who has a uniquely attractive rear end, you’ll notice right away that their contours are smooth and well-balanced. Women like Kim Kardashian don’t have “hip dips,” for example — those small indentations that are common along the bottom of the hip bone, right before the thighs begin. Instead, she has a smoothly contoured hourglass figure.
The only way to fix something like hip dips is with the delicate injection of fat from elsewhere on the body. Exercise rarely does anything to fix this cosmetic issue, and even implants won’t help.
The BBL process allows your surgeon to add volume exactly where you want it and where it will look best in the overall silhouette of your body.
3. The BBL process helps accentuate your waist.
BBL surgery is really two procedures in one. The first procedure is liposuction. This process removes unwanted fat from places like your upper arms, your flanks (“love handles”), and your abdomen. This fat is then transferred to the hips and buttocks in the second phase of the surgery.
The great thing about this is that the liposuction procedure can help eliminate unwanted girth from the abdomen and other areas where you’d like to reduce overall volume. Furthermore, a snatched waist always accentuates the hips and rear end even more.
Ultimately, this combination of liposuction and added hip/buttock volume can help you achieve a beautiful figure. Even more, both of these processes are generally permanent as long as you maintain a steady weight after your procedure.
4. No major incisions are necessary with a BBL.
As stated above, for many years, the only way to alter the shape of your buttocks and thighs was to get butt implants or a butt lift. Both of these surgeries are more complicated than they need to be to improve the appearance of the buttocks.
Notably, a traditional butt lift requires a long incision to be made across the top of each buttock. This allows the doctor to remove excess skin and make adjustments to the contours of the buttocks. While this procedure can still be performed, the Brazilian butt lift is superior in many ways.
Most importantly, only small incisions need to be made for a Brazilian butt lift, and you won’t have to deal with the unsightly scar left behind from a traditional butt lift either.
5. Your BBL results will be permanent.
Lastly, you’re going to get permanent results from a BBL. You won’t have to continually check on any implants to make sure they aren’t being rejected or ruptured, and your results won’t disappear over time either.
This is because when your surgeon transfers your unwanted fat to the butt area, as long as it survives, it will stay there just like any other fat on your body.
How to Get the Perfect Butt With BBL Surgery
Want to get the perfect butt with BBL surgery?
Start by taking a look at some Brazilian butt lift before and after pictures. See how a qualified plastic surgeon can alter a man or woman’s body to create a more attractive pear shape or bubble butt, depending on what the individual patient is looking for and their body type. It’s especially important to consider your body type when deciding on what type of Brazilian butt lift you want because not all butt shapes look good on everyone.
Naturally, Dr. Farber and Dr. Shah can help with this. They will guide you through the process of choosing where to get lipo and fat transfer deposits. Ultimately, the choice is yours, but we want to give you a comprehensive view of your options as well.
