The ultimate solution to excess tissue on the thighs.
How is a thigh lift performed?
There are multiple techniques for thigh lifts. The type of thigh lift you need is determined by the amount and location of the excess skin and the incisions used for the procedure depends on what areas you would like to be addressed.
- The most common area treated is the area of the thigh between the legs also known as the medial thigh. For this area, the most common incision is in the groin wrapping towards the back and extending down the inside of the leg.
- If there is skin on the outside of the thigh (lateral thigh), the incision along the groin may be extended around the hip.
- For patients that have a small amount of excess skin near the groin, they may be a candidate for a medial thigh lift where the incision is only along the groin crease.
- Sometimes the lateral thigh lift is combined with a buttock lift. In body contouring, a thigh lift can be combined with other procedures.
